About

Verified digital twins and agentic workflows for complex thermofluid systems.

I have worked with OpenFOAM since 2007 and co-authored The OpenFOAM Technology Primer. My practice—Verified Agentic Discovery and Design for Thermofluid Systems—connects trustworthy hybrid digital twins with reproducible research software and human-governed scientific agents, especially where interfaces, wetting, sparse evidence, and expensive decisions meet.

Leadership evidence

Methods, people, and infrastructure.

  • Primary supervisor of six completed and two ongoing doctorates.
  • Five fully industry-funded doctoral positions secured as PI and primary supervisor.
  • Principal Investigator of SFB 1194 Z-INF in its final phase.
  • Lead of the NFDI4Ing research-software-development service, 2022–2025.

Previous software entrepreneurship

Scientific software beyond the university.

I co-founded Sourceflux UG on a part-time basis from 2014 to 2017, working on scientific software and engineering consultancy alongside academic research. That experience informs how I now structure technical scope, reusable software, delivery, and transfer.
